In the past Rubyists would say "just use RubyGems", but in order to install something from RubyGems you first need Ruby installed. Another even older solution to this dependency problem is to package your software as .deb, .rpm, or add a homebrew formula to your repo. The current solution to this problem is to use Snap or FlatPack. It would be awesome if there was some sort of tool that could easily get a Ruby project converted into a snap or flatpak package and handle the heavy lifting.
