If you don't run an OS that supports it, or you want all device on your home network to use it then you can set up something like AdGuard Home or Pi-hole on a Raspberry Pi or similar dedicated device to act as a local DNS server. Then configure that to resolve using DoH or DoT. As a bonus this can also perform ad-blocking & tracker blocking at the same time.
