InfluxDB
Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
The one thing that really helped me understand how Revit works was learning how to write add-ins using the RevitAPI. You mentioned Dynamo, which is a good place to start. You can access the API in Dynamo with Python script blocks. I've only experimented with that method as I prefer C# and Visual Studio to compile DLL files. If you ever get interested in diving into the programming side I've created a template (here) for building your own ribbon menu with commands that are linked to compiled DLL files. There is so much you can access and do if you get to know the API.
