I'm installed the latest version of Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition on an ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506HM laptop last weekend and got a lot of driver issues. The touchpad and WiFi adapter MediaTek WiFi 6 MT7921 did not want to work. After updating the kernel to the latest version through a simple "mainline" GUI utility (a continuation of the free version of ukuu: https://github.com/bkw777/mainline), the touchpad worked, but for some reason WiFi could not be started.
I ended up reinstalling Linux Arch KDE Plasma Edition via the graphical installer https://archlinuxgui.in/ and everything worked perfectly out of the box! Steam also installed without any problems (enjoying Steam requires activating the "multilib" repository in /etc/pacman.conf ). The only problem I noticed is that compared to Windows, the laptop heats up significantly more in the area where the SSD and WiFi adapter are located.
