The whole point of "dynamic quality" (and the reason it's named like that) is to use this adaptive layer height, so that you get high layer heights where the slope is steep and low layer heights where the slope is shallow, hopefully resulting in better print quality but still good productivity. The disadvantage of this is that you get banding.
