Given an ansible playbook, how do I "execute" it on a server?

I know they provide a docker container for this , and indeed the full Supabase stack as a docker-compose, but: I'm not great at docker, I want to have PostgreSQL DB run in a dedicated VM, and I'm struggling to figure out how to get some sort of monitoring to postgres inside a container (everything seems to need to compile against the postgres install... which exists inside a container... i get confused).
