Issues with forced VPN

  Popcorn Time is a multi-platform, free software BitTorrent client that includes an integrated media player. Desktop ( Windows / Mac / Linux ) a Butter-Project Fork (by popcorn-time-ru)

  

I've been using Popcorn time for years and recently had to change the API to https://popcorn-time.ga/ after the Russian war started. Since I've not been able to get it to work, it keeps trying to force me to download and use a third part VPN agent. I use NordVPN which works fine, is there a way to get around this and use the system?
