  • blackbox_exporter

    Blackbox prober exporter

  • One thing related sorta to what I thought you were asking about is end-to-end path probing. You setup a probe that starts from one end of the network, and traverses the full path to what the user would see. In SRE-land we call this "blackbox probing". There are tools for this.

  • smokeping_prober

    Prometheus style smokeping

  • I also wrote my own ping/smokeping-style end-to-end latency prober.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • snmp_exporter

    SNMP Exporter for Prometheus

  • The ecosystem around these tools is extensive. IMO a lot more comprehensive than just "network monitoring". And of course, you can always throw traditional SNMP stuff into the mix.
