  • While it isn’t directly Rust code, I think you could translate the Flatpak spec relatively easily and switch out to the the free desktop Rust extension. This repository should contain a lot of data that might be useful: https://github.com/fyne-io/flatpak_demo

  • Rust is an interesting case, it could go very well if you know what you are doing. Here is an example of a rust app manifest https://github.com/flathub/org.gnome.design.Lorem/blob/master/org.gnome.design.Lorem.json, the only reason there is more than one module is because I need newer gtk+libadwaita than the one in the runtime.
