  • winfile

Original Windows File Manager (winfile) with enhancements

  • A file manager. I've been contributing to https://github.com/microsoft/winfile but my real goal is to have a WinPE/Core thing that is self contained but offers some explorer-like convenience.

  • yori

Yori is a CMD replacement shell that supports backquotes, job control, and improves tab completion, file matching, aliases, command history, and more.

  • A start menu/taskbar (stop laughing - I'm not crazy!) It's a 52Kb self contained executable that can parse shortcuts from the start menu folders. Makes RDP to Core into a somewhat sane experience. See https://github.com/malxau/yori/tree/master/yui .

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • nano-win

GNU nano text editor for Windows [WARNING: The master branch is constantly rebased and force-pushed so don't expect it to be steady!! -end WARNING]

  • Hi malxau. I am fully aware of your tools. Actually I am using yori in both my personal and work laptops. However, I am a fan of PowerShell, while my colleagues are not. I tried to use nano for Windows as a CLI text editor, yet I got used to micro. But I agree. It has been more than 5 years since the initial Core version was released and still the tooling is poor. An admin cannot just ssh into a windows server and do the work when it is required. Yes, RSAT is great. But for a Linux shop who has limited use of Windows, things get hard. And Windows Admin Center is not that good yet.
