I have downloaded the older version using DepotDownloader, but Steam keeps trying to update it whenever I try to launch it.
hi, I think the easiest you could do is removing the "Skyrim Anniversary" dlc from your account (just guessing, but I see no reason why this should not work). Apart from that it might be possible to start your complete old "Skyrim SE 1.5.97" installation from a separate directory as custom program (maybe using only the old exe from the same directory is already enough?). Never tried a custom program together with MO2 or Vortex, so no idea if this actually could work. Of course no guarantee or support for that from my side. Good luck!
