For years I've been making remote backups using Borg, and been a little bothered that I was doing this against mutable filesystems that will change under it while it works. So I've finally made this:

  ioztat is a storage load analysis tool for OpenZFS. It provides iostat-like statistics at an individual dataset/zvol level.

While we're on the subject of testing ZFS scripts, I've done loads with ioztat — /r/zfs' answer to zfs iostat — and plan on releasing 2.0 soon. If you want to kick the tires on that, now is certainly the time to do it.
