To capture any one of these aspects boils down to figuring out the correct query for the specific database engine you are working with. To be able to provide developers with a data structure that captures all of it, and to do it well across different versions of multiple database engines we've learned, is not an easy task. This is a perfect opportunity for an infrastructure project: a problem that is annoyingly complex to solve and that if solved well, becomes a foundation for many kinds of applications.
