  • lispy

    Short and sweet LISP editing

  • This tip is a real gem and works for me very well, too. It is almost funny that there exists so many workarounds you only need because of how you approached it in the first place. Though there are still some nice commands for navigating or editing finished s-expressions, I often use raise-sexp for example and lispy is a another gem in its own way, too.

  • objed

Navigate and edit text objects with Emacs. Development on pause.

  • Well laid out, I fully agree. I think there is still a lot of potential to combine these two approaches in a better way, Emacs knows about many structures already but I think it could be more convenient to act on those. I tried my hand on this with objed which aims to make it easier to act/navigate on certain units (on demand or semi automatically).
