    A better Emacs *help* buffer

  • C-h v is a pretty useful command though. Another useful command is C-h k (describe-key), which will prompt you to enter in a key and will spit out what function it's bound to. I use the helpful package for enhanced help commands, and I think it's worth looking into too. That's just an aside though. It's worth mentioning because variables and functions are very well documented and you can often find solutions to any problem you face through help commands.

More convenient key definitions in emacs

  • This seems to be a good reference for learning more about keybindings in emacs. I'm also a big fan general.el which makes it easier to organize key bindings.
