Tidy Tuesday release datasets every week for people to use to create interesting data viz. It's primarily aimed at and produced by R users, but the community on Twitter are more than welcoming to non-R visualisations. They already have weekly datasets going back three years.
No but I'll check that out. I just wrote a pythong script, primarily calling a url with requests and then using beautifulsoup to parse the data. Here's a link if you want to look at it: https://github.com/driscoll42/ebayScraper
