  • adblock-lists

Maintains adblock lists that Brave uses

  • Not to discount uBO, these lists ares built into Brave with no extensions installed. You can install uBO in both browsers, but this is being included as part of browser, brave-adblock. Not sure how Firefox fingerprinting compares, but Brave has had fingerprinting on default for a few years now (no config changes needed). The only fixes are allowing piwik (1st party, open source scripts) in Brave. Everything is open on https://github.com/brave/adblock-lists (brave-unbreak.txt).

  • brave-browser

Brave browser for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows.

  • Opensource, https://github.com/brave/brave-browser#build-brave with all the library's and prerequisites etc, ensure you have around 60-80G free.

  • InfluxDB

  • TelegramAndroid

Fork client of Telegram app for Android.

  • Telegram’s client code is more open, too. They allow forks ( example of a fork ) and are on F-Droid, unlike Signal ( example conversation with an OSS fork ).

  • Signal-Server

Server supporting the Signal Private Messenger applications on Android, Desktop, and iOS

  • There is a repo with Signal’s server code from April of last year (allegedly - it can’t be verified) Source

  • TextSecure

    A private messenger for Android.

  • Now, I’m personally fine with that process, but OWS - Moxie in particular (see LibreSignal for example) - has been hostile to small OSS efforts. Signal isn’t on F-Droid, with the reason being that Moxie allegedly thinks F-Droid is harmful (source).

  • We’ve put all of this together into a full contact discovery service, scalable to billions of users, that allows Signal users to discover their social graph without revealing their contacts to the Signal service. Like everything we build, the contact discovery service is open source.
