InfluxDB
Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
Kopia, the only free piece of software on the list, and it’s great, but they’ve yet to release a stable version, so it may end up eating all your data, which is also why it’s at the bottom of the list. Use with BackBlaze B2 or Wasabi.
Duplicacy (regular license), and backup to BackBlaze B2 or Wasabi.
My primary document storage is in the cloud. It’s iCloud here, but any of the others would do as well. (I particularly like Microsoft365 for the value you get. It’s something like $60/year for 5 accounts with 1TB storage each). The cloud offers unlimited versioning of files for a number of days, so in case of malware I can just roll back to a good version and move on with my life. Privacy is handled by Cryptomator which end to end encrypts data.
