Just wanted to share that I released a new version (v1.1) of the filetree package (available on melpa). The core functionality of the filetree package is a file tree viewer coupled with a host of interactive tools that act on the tree and files in the tree. While I've been adding features to the package prior to this release (e.g., support for file marking, file mode/size/modification date info), this release makes a significant change to the UI, so I wanted to highlight it with a new version and this post.

Transient-based hierarchical key-bindings & help menu - Filetree now uses transient to organize it's key bindings. The reason I made this change was that the flat keymap was getting unsustainable as new features were added, and feature discovery was also becoming difficult. With the new interface, there is a help menu transient ("h" in filetree buffer or M-x filetree-command-help) that shows the top-level bindings. Most operations are grouped under transient menus (e.g., "v" pulls up the view mode transient menu). Some bindings have changed from before (e.g., file marking key bindings), but I've kept most legacy bindings in place for now.
