  • defender-control

An open-source windows defender manager. Now you can disable windows defender permanently.

  • Some people are telling you to get an SSD. Yeah, that's cool, but what if you don't want to, can't, etc.? Therefore this is the solution with what you have: disable everything that doesn't serve a purpose. Uninstall all you can. I've had this problem on and off for a year and I've finally fixed it, use these: You need to disable, mainly, three things: Windows Defender and all its secondary stuff (Antimalware Service, etc.). Use this: https://github.com/qtKite/defender-control (disable all you can manually first). Windows Updates: try this: https://github.com/WereDev/Wu10Man if it doesn't work try this: https://www.wintips.org/how-to-turn-off-windows-10-updates-permanently/. Unnecessary Windows Services (look for a list of those in some search engine, you'll get around 20 that are practically useless for everyone). Then, also: Debloat with this: https://github.com/builtbybel/bloatbox (everything you can, Microsoft Store, XBox, all that nonsense, many of those you can uninstall manually). Disable Cortana, Windows Search, all that nonsense.
