I've been seeing things about PotPlayer and they aren't good. Is PotPlayer a safe and good media player to use? Does it collect privacy data?

  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • VideoLAN Client (VLC)

VLC media player - All pull requests are ignored, please follow https://wiki.videolan.org/Sending_Patches_VLC/

  • Not sure about PotPlayer one way or the other, but VLC is open source, cross platform, plays EVERYTHING, and the devs have promised never to sell out

  • web

    Mirror of git://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-web (by FFmpeg)

  • MPV.net (now available on MS store) or VLC (they are planing an interface refresh on future VLC 4), both are open source and safe. PotPlayer has been on the hall of shame of FFmpeg a long time (https://github.com/FFmpeg/web/blob/master/src/shame), because they do use FFmpeg but do not obey the distribution license of FFmpeg.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
