  • zfsbootmenu

ZFS Bootloader for root-on-ZFS systems with support for snapshots and native full disk encryption

  • If you want to handle ZFS boot environments, they should be done the right way. Each environment should be an atomic filesystem (including root, boot and any other directories managed by the system package manager) that is governed by one series of snapshots. Ideally, it should be possible to rollback to these snapshots without requiring pre-emptive cloning or a recovery disk. These are the priniciples that guide ZFSBootMenu and, after getting used to these niceties, it's difficult to imagine going back.
