I have the Xbox wireless adapter for my windows PC and would love the ability to use the adapter with the Steam Deck. If I just left it with the dock, would XOW work? I wanted a way to use the adapter on SteamOS and this seems to be the best option, as Microsoft doesn't make drivers for the Linux kernel. It would be ideal to have easy pairing, low latency, and the ability to use headphones with the aux port on the controller while in docked mode.
I don't think XOW support audio, but nothing prevents you from using it on your Deck. Note that it's supposed to be replaced by xone (https://github.com/medusalix/xone) and xpadneo (https://github.com/atar-axis/xpadneo) eventually and as such progress as stopped on it.
