Diving into Rust, what is optimum environment?

I do rust with rust-analyser, rustic, treesitter, lsp and emacs. I have a really bad emacs setup here: https://gitlab.com/mslot/dotfiles/-/tree/main/emacs. Please don't judge me on this :) I am new to emacs and lisp.

For rust support, jetbrains' rust plugin and rust analyzer are kinda similar. I didn't find any one particularly better than the other. But for IDE experience, CLion is just way much better than VSCode: it has more features, and its features are easier to be discovered and learned, and on my laptop it runs faster and smoother. You can evaluate CLion for 30 days. Or, you could simply install the intellij IDEA's community edition and install the jetbrains rust plugin -- the most important difference is debugger support inside the editor. You could check more detailed comparison between running the plugin on different jetbrains editors here: https://github.com/intellij-rust/intellij-rust#compatible-ides So IDEA community has several fewer support, but you can use command line tools to perform those task in terminal so it's not a huge problem, it's just you can't use those feature inside editor.
