5e-statblock-importer
A module for FoundryVTT that creates a new actor from any 5e monster or NPC statblock.
Shameless self-promotion: you probably are not aware of Eigengrau's Generator, my holistic town generator, that produces full towns ready-to-read. It is open source and if you are a Patreon or build from the source code, you can use the import module to load the entire town into Foundry.
I'm big on adding visual flair to my sessions, so I use J2B animated assets, sequencer and automated animations - but I think they're pretty well known. I recently discovered this little module, Target Reacts. It adds a little shake to the token when it's struck by an attack. Pretty cool feedback that goes well with attack animations, splatter and combat numbers.
Not sure if it qualifies as lesser known, but it took me a while to discover Quick Combat.
Want to get monsters from PDFs or other sources into your game fast? Just copy and paste the statblock into 5e Statblock Importer and it'll create the character sheet for you. Full disclosure, I wrote it but I use it all the time. It's great for all those third party source books I can't stop myself from filling my hard drive up with.
