  • I had an error when I installed Postgres and pgAdmin recently on my mac. I downloaded a different distrubutions of Postgres from https://postgresapp.com and from https://www.postgresql.org. I also downloaded pgAdmin from https://www.pgadmin.org. A combination of two out of three worked. However, I cannot recall which was the good install and which was the bad. In my particular situation, the error was caused by one of the installs looking for a python library file that did not exist in some folder buried deep in system. Hopefully a different install works for you too.
