  • I'd like to give you some quick tips that I wish I knew earlier than I did. Coming from other high level programming languages, something I wished for is a package manager for C dependencies. In Java I have Maven, with Javascript / Node I have npm, with Scala I have SBT, etc. After some time I realized the system package manager (APT on Debian based systems, Pacman on Arch based systems, DNF on Fedora based systems, etc.) is that package manager. If I want to use curl from C, I can install the C library on my Fedora system with sudo dnf install libcurl-devel.
