And it's not that hard to start. There are some more advanced books about the topic, such as The Hacker's Playbook, but what I'd recommend to start with is the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide. The second book is easy to digest, and provides a checkbox-style step-by-step framework you can follow when testing Web pages (which is what you'll start with as a junior), and is an amazing starting point. When I was applying for my job, I knew almost nothing about security (I have college degree in Software engineering and video game development, which helps but isn't really related that much), and this book has gotten me through interveiw and my first year at the job.
