  • As for tools, use what works for you. I like outline wiki (hey I wrote a guide on selfhosting that) as it has diagrams.net integration and can export to markdown.

    draw.io is a JavaScript, client-side editor for general diagramming.

  • In terms of diagramming, that's a skill on its own. Doesn't matter what tool you use (though I'm a fan of diagrams.net integrated into our wiki). I revert back to PowerPoint for a lot of them. Some tips:
