kwin-quick-tile-2
KWin Script which adds shortcuts that behave like the 2x2 Snap feature from Windows 10 and adds top/bottom half tiling
Yes. Currently only ignoring the screen and activities is supported, but it should be possible to implement this kind of functionality for virtual desktops too. You can file a feature request here: https://github.com/Bismuth-Forge/bismuth/issues
I can recommend kwin-rectangle (https://store.kde.org/p/1545864 / https://github.com/acristoffers/kwin-rectangle).
Do you mean the binary division of the selected wmnode described in 'Manual Mode' here: https://github.com/baskerville/bspwm? So that the new window tiles inside the selected node with the window that formerly occupied the entire space?
I use Kwin Grid-Tiling Script - it does the job well, giving you freedom to resize and rearrange things as you wish, including with the mouse. Gaps are optional, all keybindings are easily customizable, you can turn windows into float at any time and also create a list of window classes to not apply the tiling (float by default) - I use this for games mostly.
Hi, I'm using "Tiling from Faho", it has also i3 mod. For additional info visit kwin-tiling (for enabling settings buttons see last section Troubleshooting).
