With this I'm mainly trying to make it possible to do real time processing where the speed at which images are captured is not throttled by the speed at which they are processed. something which is expected to perform at 90fps should stay at 90 fps, when I tested an earlier version (producer consumer without passing, it's currently on the main branch) it was grabbing anywhere from 250-550 fps.
