Why does the official Go website look so outdated?

Go started as a side project by three Googlers. They didn't have the resources or design knowledge to create a fancy website. Now that the Go team is bigger and has more resources they have created new website: go.dev. The plan is to move the contents of the old website golang.org to the new one over the next months: https://go.dev/blog/tidy-web
