  • modules.tf-lambda

Infrastructure as code generator - from visual diagrams created with Cloudcraft.co to Terraform

  • One of my intentions is to be able to map out my company’s entire AWS infrastructure, and document it in a diagram (perhaps along the lines of this: https://www.cloudcraft.co/). This will allow me to one: get a grip of what is out there, and two: in times of failure have a decent starting point of looking as to where this may be, in addition to consulting CloudTrail/NewRelic etc.

  • workload-discovery-on-aws

Workload Discovery on AWS is a solution to visualize AWS Cloud workloads. With it you can build, customize, and share architecture diagrams of your workloads based on live data from AWS. The solution maintains an inventory of the AWS resources across your accounts and regions, mapping their relationships and displaying them in the user interface.

  • AWS has a solution called AWS Perspective that will do exactly this. The solution itself is free and open source, you only pay for the resources it creates. You can also export the diagrams to draw.io if you want to edit them manually. Also, it will show you how much your solution(s) and each of its components is costing you.

  • sso-wall-of-shame

A list of vendors that treat single sign-on as a luxury feature, not a core security requirement.

  • Looks awesome! I looked at the pricing and it seems affordable, but Cloudcraft puts SAML at Enterprise tier which is a crappy thing to do. You don't want to be added to the list of shame here: https://sso.tax These days Okta type integrations are quickly becoming de facto standard

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
