We already took care of the alignment work in https://github.com/naturalcrit/homebrewery/tree/master/themes/fonts/5e Each character has different "dangly bits" in different directions and drastically different widths which need to be accounted for when determining character placement that isn't necessarily obvious without looking at the D&D books directly.
