Anyway, the version you linked is obsolete, here is an updated version. It's not a package and thus not intended for public dissemination, by the way.
I also found this ob-octave-fix.el that prevents extra stuff around the return value from being added to org. And, unrelated but, I found a flycheck-mlint.el script for getting mlint working with flycheck and that is a much nicer than the default mlint ui from the matlab-emacs package in my opinion.
