The lack of critical information like accept/reject/drop in FW logs is killing me. Does Unifi plan on addressing?

To make the changes persistent after reboot, you'd need to look into either something external to monitor the device and re-invoke the program - or you could look at https://github.com/boostchicken/udm-utilities to setup persistent scripts that will run on startup.
