About the Twitch ads, this has nothing to do with any adblocker in specific, uBlock Origin is still the best one out there. You just need to use the dyn-skip-midroll-alt script for uBO from https://github.com/pixeltris/TwitchAdSolutions and you'll not see ads until Twitch patches this properly.

By the look of it, the extension you suggest does not seem to be actively developed -- including your own issues which have been left unanswered for quite a while now; while the other extension you suggest has not been updated in nearly three years, with development halted.
