I have started using Appwrite (https://appwrite.io/), which is a truly open source alternative to Firebase. They use SQL but in a non-SQL fashion and it works fantastically. My only two negative points would be that even though they provide cloud functions (which Supabase does not as of today), they are not of a synchronous nature, but they are working on it. And also that they don't seem to care much about the React/React-Native experience and they are fully focused on Flutter, Vue instead or all things non-React in general.
