inkscape-centerline-trace
A bitmap vectorizer that can trace along the centerline of a stroke. The builtin inkscape 'trace bitmap' can only trace edges, thus resulting in double lines for most basic use cases. It uses 'autotrace -centerline' and an optimal threshold to vectorize a pixel image.

InfluxDB
Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
You can use Inkscape without the interface, but some operations only work with GUI. I'm pretty sure tracing bitmaps is one of them. However, before version 1.0 this functionality was provided by an extension, and since extensions are just python scripts, you can run them directly. Here is the GitHub page for the centerline-trace extension. It even comes with a wrapper-script to use it as a standalone command line tool ('centerline-trace.sh').
If you look at the installation instructions for the extension, it links you to more recent releases for autotrace with some installers.
