Mohsin Kaleem has just released consult-bibtex. It is a consult/completing-read interface for bibtex-completion, very similar to ivy-bibtex or helm-bibtex. Right now, it's just on github.
Just tried here. Looks good, thanks for sharing. I was using bibtex-actions.
So that basically pipes your search string to those services, via biblio, and then you can import those results?
no multiple selection (ivy has it, but not ivy-bibtex, see https://github.com/tmalsburg/helm-bibtex/issues/308)
