So I have been playing around with generating punks with images and with ASCII designs. Thanks for all the helpful information out there geraldbauer. I am curious if there is a way to generate ASCII designs from an image. If I generated my random punks with images only, I wouldn't have a way to auto-generate different colors of my attributes I don't think. Similar to this example: https://github.com/cryptopunksnotdead/cryptopunks/tree/master/caps
If it is a small attribute it might be easier / quicker to draw it "by hand" in the online punk pixel drawing tool => https://cryptopunksnotdead.github.io/ and than click on the print button to "export the ascii design" (see the text area below) and than cut-n-paste the design. That's how I do it for now.
