  • Code-Server

    VS Code in the browser

  • If you have a spare server, you could run https://github.com/cdr/code-server on it and do all your development from the browser using a VS Code like interface.

  • gneady

Setting up geany as a node.js IDE

  • You could look at Geany which is a super lightweight "IDE" (more close to just a straight text editor though). Looks like it needs a plugin or two to work well with node, I found this guide here.

  • LunarVim

🌙 LunarVim is an IDE layer for Neovim. Completely free and community driven.

  • I think theirs a happy middle ground with sublime. But if you want to use vim, here's a version that's very similar to vscode: https://github.com/LunarVim/LunarVim and you can watch his YouTube videos to see how it all works
