Hello, I'm planning to use Opnsense from Asus router running Merlin firmware. My ISP keeps giving me private public IP and I need to keep reconnecting PPPoE connection until I got a real public IP. I can do this using the user script feature (https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin.ng/wiki/User-scripts). So what I do is put the script in /jffs/scripts/wan-up to see if I got IP starting with "10.","172.","192." and if it does then do "service wan restart" until I got a real public IP. The script will run automatically whenever there is a WAN up event.

Thanks! That might work. Also, I got a reply from my issue in OPNSense github (https://github.com/opnsense/core/issues/5171). There is actually something like this https://docs.opnsense.org/development/backend/legacy.html#configure but I don't know how do I use it. I looked into /usr/local/etc/inc/plugins_inc_d/ and all I see are some php scripts that I don't understand T.T
