very basic question about cardano node

  The core component that is used to participate in a Cardano decentralised blockchain.

  

I'm at the configuration step after downloading the source code and moving the working directory into the cardano node that I've created. This website specifies which configuration to use but when I run that it gives me the error. This is the site https://github.com/input-output-hk/cardano-node/blob/master/doc/getting-started/install.md/ There is a step before this where the instructions tell to choose a version of cardano-node but I'm not sure I did that correctly. The command I'm running is cabal configure with specified ghc version that's causing the error.
