  • pacfree

A simple pacman wrapper written in Bash and aimed to make pacman free-software aware

  • The problem with using Artix repos is that most systemd-free packages are named exactly as the systemd-version of Arch packages, and since you want to keep Arch repos on top (otherwise you will soon or later migrate to Artix), you need to find a way to install OpenRC and systemd-free packages from Artix repos, and everything else from Arch's. As a workaround I wrote a pacman wrapper (pacfree) that allows you to install packages based on rules: install this package from here, and that from there. As a side note, it can also scan your system for non-free-software based on Parabola's blacklists. You can take a look at the wrapper here.
