  • caprine

    Elegant Facebook Messenger desktop app

  • I personally don't think you need to go that far. There's an awesome open-source project called Caprine which is essentially a privacy-friendly Facebook messenger wrapper for Windows, Mac and Linux. Since the messenger is sandboxed in a standalone environment and the app, being open source, doesn't send any data other than the chats, it is quite a good option.

  • Frost-for-Facebook

Discontinued An extensive and functional third party app for Facebook

  • I haven't found a similar dedicated messenger for android. For Facebook, I use Frost for Facebook which does have a messenger inbuilt but it is nowhere near the Facebook Messenger in terms of functionality. If it fits your use-case, awesome.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
