  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • Chocolatey

Chocolatey - the package manager for Windows

  • An alternative to the Microsoft Store is either manually downloading via the vendor's website(s); Winget; Chocolaty

  • Scoop

    A command-line installer for Windows.

  • Lot of people mention chocolately for applications, which is great because it has a huge library, but I try to use scoop where possible. It doesn't need admin privileges to install applications, and installs the "portable" versions where possible, making it really easy to back up and move them if you need to.

  • InfluxDB

Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.

  • WindowsSpyBlocker

Block spying and tracking on Windows

  • Great question! Yes it is pfblockerng, and the lists I currently use are: https://github.com/crazy-max/WindowsSpyBlocker/tree/master/data/firewall. Just a heads up, this will block LinkedIn as well. Didn’t make sense to me at first why, but I found out that LinkedIn is a subsidiary of Microsoft now. But yea this list does a lot of blocking for me. In addition, I use glasswire as a host based firewall. I use that to block other connections. It is app based, so it makes it easier than stopping each IP. glasswire is a subscription based product (30$) a year. So just a heads up on that. Both of them provide me with a pretty good solution. Not bulletproof, but still a pretty good solution IMO.

  • simplewall

Discontinued Simple tool to configure Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) which can configure network activity on your computer.

  • I have windows firewall disabled so it doesn't try any of that. This link from the dev will explain better than I possibly could. (I'm no tech genius, I just can confirm it works) https://github.com/henrypp/simplewall/wiki/FAQ
