  • nnn

n³ The unorthodox terminal file manager

  • This is a script I have devised to be able to quickly remux a movie as an .mkv file with the subtitles added. If all the arguments are given it uses those and the rest of the script is ignored, when not given, I wanted it to prompt to choose a file and be able to use the nnn file manager that has some picking capabilities when given the -p - flag. However I think that the fact that it displays to stdout might give some conflict, or maybe it is my own incompetence in scripting.

  • rofi

Rofi: A window switcher, application launcher and dmenu replacement

  • The fd -d 1 -e mp4 -e mkv -0 | nnn -p - works fine when put in the shell, but the moment I want to put the output in a variable, the shell freaks out and freezes. I was able to make it work with rofi acting as dmenu with the -dmenu flag but I wanted to keep it all in the terminal if possible.
