Imperial is a fun board game.

  • The stack is a thin Ruby on Rails app (which handles database queries and WebSockets) around a Vue front end and JavaScript game logic. My implementation actually includes both the original Imperial game and Imperial 2030, which is an adaptation of the same game on a different map and with slightly different rules. There are a few variants on the site, too (which I am interested in possibly expanding upon). I love pair programming and would be happy to devote time to that, including and especially if you are a less-experienced developer! If you are interested in front-end specific work, there's a LOT to improve and develop in that arena. The open source repo is here.
