If you're looking for something a little more stylish, try https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com. There's a learning curve but it's relatively shallow.
I do most of my brainstorming and planning in OneNote, but once I have characters/locations/quests fleshed out, I add them to my campaign in Kanka. Their system is very Wiki-like and you can link entries together, which makes it easier for me to find relevant details I need during a session.
